We think that Pr it's losing effect in our google positions. Probably , other parameters as location and domain lifetime are more important to raise positions.
It seems the update from Google is more frequent than most people think. I had a quite recent experience that one of my pages,http://best-relationship-advice.com/Best-Relationship-Advice_Matchmaking-Article4.php originally a PR2 for several months and suddenly dropped to PR0 a couple of weeks ago, and I made some changes in internal linking, then it went back to PR2 for several days, and today, I checked this page again, it goes back to PR0!Please enlighten me.
My link directory went from PR3 to PR0. Its almost 4 years old. I do not sell links and I never got a dime for a link. This must be a big Google mistake? My other link directory still has PR3. My ranking went from 5 way down to 70 +. Whats going on?
There is some corrolation between PR and SERPS, but nothing to get excited about, unless you sell link or advertising space, why get uptight by the green bar?
I think Google is still trying to repair damage caused by the dec/jan update. Well I hope so anyway!
We have noticed a raise in PR from 5 to 6 on our site http://www.TranslationDirectory.comBut haven't noticed traffic raise or drop recently.Btw, do you know if google uses only 10 grades of page rank for the search engine placements or more? For example, when we see the rank of 6, maybe it is in fact 5.9 ? Or 6.3? What do you think?
