"reduce the incidents of invalid and accidental clicks on ads and to encourage site visitors to stay on the site, interact with the site content and if they deemed it necessary, click on the ads. The new clickable format aligns with the text ad formats that is being implemented on Google. The new format would also benefit Google advertisers by making them pay for ad clicks that were intentional and would contribute to the success of their ad campaigns."

How do you think this is going to affect money made through adsense? Do you think overall earnings from adsense clicks will drop? If so, are google not just doing this to make more money?
I think the move was designed to improve the accuracy of the AdSense service. It will have an effect on some AdSense user’s revenue, however I do not think it will be a significant one, as the loss will come from not receiving accidental clicks. As for over all earnings, yes there will be a drop in revenue.
