Thanks for the tips. I’ve been trying to read up on the whole subject of how to put tags to use in SEO without much success – there seems to be so much contradictory information out there. In other words I’ve been having a bit of a substance problem. Other than your Blog and this place ...http://www.aurora-it.us/free_seo_tips/metatags.php …Do you guys have any idea where I could pick up more on the subject? Thanks in advance.
Hi Dirk,Meta tags still play an important role in SEO and their importance has even been confirmed by Google. Basically there are 3 Meta tags to consider for search engine optimization: Title, Keywords and Description. The title tag is covered in this article so all we have left are the keyword and description tags. The keyword tag should contain a list of keywords you want your site to appear for in search engine results. The description tag is used under your title in search engine results and should accurately describe the purpose of your website. Try to include some important keywords in there too if possible. To get started you can try our free DIY Meta tags service which will help to produce correctly coded tags.
