The new homepage looks slicker and more up-to-date than the old one, and embraces personalization in the Web 2.0 spirit much more strongly than the previous homepage. This doesn't only apply to how personal and local services are integrated, but also to the overall look: Apart from the bluish-grey color scheme, you even can select from one of four other color schemes that you might prefer.Of course, the new layout also provides Yahoo! with ample advertising space. And I'm sure the more prominent display of the web search box won't hurt Yahoo!'s pay-per-click advertising revenues!Without being too revolutionary, you really do notice that a make-over of the Yahoo! homepage was indeed overdue when you compare the new version to the old version of the homepage.
